Ayurveda is the ancient Indian science of life, which seeks to
create harmony of the elements within and without. The transition
of the seasons from winter to spring requires a "shedding" of all
of the excesses we take on in order to reveal a more luminous,
radiant, and revitalized self.
In this class, ISHTA Yoga Masters Sarah Platt-Finger and Ulrica
Norberg will lead you through a sequence of sat kriyas
(purification techniques), bandhas (locks of energy) and asana
(physical postures) to help detoxify the physical and subtle body
and facilitate this shift on all levels. Specific essential oils
will be used to ignite the inner fire of transformation, leaving
you feeling replenished, renewed, and re-centered.
Sarah Platt-Finger is the co-founder of ISHTA Yoga, ranked one of
the top 7 studios in Manhattan by Citysearch, and the private yoga
teacher of Deepak Chopra. She teaches trainings, workshops, and
retreats internationally with her husband, Yoga Master Alan Finger.
Sarah is a featured expert on Jiyo, a revolutionary new digital
platform that brings health and wellness to online communities all
over the world. She is a board member for Exhale to Inhale, a
non-profit organization that empowers female survivors of domestic
violence through yoga. Her daughter, Satya, inspires her every day
to live a life based on love and unbound potential..
ISHTA Yoga blends the ancient and contemporary sciences of Hatha,
Tantra, and Ayurveda. It is an authentic lineage of modern yogis
which caters to the individual through alignment based flow, breath
work, and visualization.
